I set up a CD at Washington Mutual and arranged to have
money transferred from another bank to fund the CD. Ten days have gone by and
WAMU refuses to transfer the
money. When I send them email, about the problem they send
boilerplate emails that do not explain why the
money has not been transferred. This is getting pretty frustrating.
I'm sure they wish I would go away because the CD rate is 5% and now that they have been taken over by
Chase they are no longer offering that rate. However, a deal is a deal and they ought to live up to the
bargain they made.
