Washington Mutual are crooks. Beware

For years I have been banking with Wamu. Sometime they did mistakes in my accounts and sometime I did. But on 3/24/2008

2 of my checks from washington mutual were stolen and my signature forged and deposited at a washington mutual branch. Inmediately, I went to the branch and reported the theft. I filed a claim the same day. A week later, after several telephone calls to find out about the status of my money and giving me no specific answers, I went back to the branch to speak to the same person I file the claim with. This fellow calls the Fraud unit and was told they didn't get the initial claim that was sent from the bank. So we completed a new one on 4/2/2008. On 4/28/2008 after all the aggravation I receive a letter that my money will be reimbursed. On 5/10/2008, I received another letter that my money will not be reimbursed and that Washington Mutual is not responsible. The signatures clearly show that I did not write nor signed those checks nor I authorize those checks. It is unreal that they provide no protection to their customers. Their fraud department are a bunch of incompetents. I will definitely sue them, if any one has the same or similar experience we could get together for a class action suit.On 5/12/2008 I will file my suit against Washington Mutual. My advise do not trust them and get your money out, they are definitely unpprofessionals and crooks.

file a complaint on the FDIC web site

I have a similar situation, I' recomend file a complaint on FDIC site.
